The Maryland resident was wrongly deported in March, despite a Supreme Court order directing his return. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele refused to repatriate him, calling the idea “preposterous.” Attorney General Pam Bondi said El Salvador must decide whether to return Abrego Garcia, and the Trump administration must only provide transportation if that happens.
