Mountain Pass Materials said it will halt exports to China and process only some of its mined material on-site while storing the rest. The U.S. cannot meet domestic demand alone, prompting Trump to fast-track mine permits and encourage new projects in Nebraska and Montana. China controls 90% of the global supply and most processing capacity.
