Petro Gazz draws flak on social media after loss to Taiwan in AVC Champions League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference champions, Petro Gazz opened its 2025 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Champions League campaign with a loss to the Taiwan squad, which caused a backlash on social media. It was not the kindest place, and 'haha' reactions and eyebrows were raised the day the newly crowned queens lost on the international stage. But Petro Gazz redeemed itself quickly with a dominant win over Hong Kong’s Hip Hing, 25-8, 25-12, 25-12, to make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament with Creamline and PLDT.
