A major road accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the Vikasnagar-Selaqui area of Dehradun district. A speeding car, coming from the Dehradun-Paonta National Highway towards Nigam Road, rammed into a group of school students outside Government Adarsh Inter College.
Nine students were seriously injured in the incident, with three reported to be in critical condition. The accident took place as the school was closing and students were exiting the premises.
The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have taken the driver into custody and initiated an investigation.
