Akhnoor (Punjab), May 13 (ANI): Despite the announcement of the understanding of cessation of hostilities, Pakistan continues to violate the terms in the border areas. The residents of Akhnoor sector in Jammu, are troubled by these activities, which are just 400 metres away from the International Border. The residents are therefore forced to leave their homes whenever cross-border firing starts, getting them displaced. However, this time around, villagers are demanding a decisive battle with Pakistan so that a lesson is taught and they dare to do such things again. There is significant anger among women, with one local calling Pakistan a ‘cheater’ for attacking border villages despite understanding with India. Locals have also urged PM Modi to take a definitive step against Pakistan and ‘teach them a lesson’. The continuous cross-border firing also affects youth, their education and people’s livelihoods
