The Qatari government pushed back on criticism over its offer of a US$400mil Boeing 747-8 jet to the United States, saying that the deal was a routine government-to-government transaction and not a personal gift.
During US President Donald Trump's official visit to Qatar on May 14, Qatar also signed a US$200bil deal to buy 160 Boeing aircraft with options for another 50.
