Cannes female film talent say real change in gender parity is finally happening in diverse markets
Women reigning over the silver screen, in front of the camera and behind the scenes, have told Reuters recently that gender parity is starting to take shape in film markets across the world, although progress remains slow. Actors Amina Khalil and Jacqueline Fernandez, and director Rungano Nyoni, spoke ahead of a Women in Cinema Gala, held by the Red Sea Film Foundation in Cannes, at which they were named honorees.
