Darjeeling (WB), May 22, 2025 (ANI): West Bengal Leader of Opposition (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari on May 22 slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over Murshidabad violence and said that this was done to polarise Muslim vote and threaten Hindus. “This was done to polarise the Muslim vote...This was done to pull back the Muslim votes from Congress using the name of Waqf...This was done to threaten Hindus...They (TMC) are forcing Hindus to migrate to make Malda, Murshidabad a Hindu-free zone, like what's happening in Bangladesh...To give protection to Hindus in West Bengal, our President, Prime Minister, and Supreme Court should take strict action, otherwise the safety of Hindus will become bleak wherever they are in the minority...It is crystal clear in the (SIT) report that the Hindus are demanding the permanent deployment of BSF there...,” said Suvendu Adhikari.
