Amritsar (Punjab), June 01, 2025 (ANI): Amritsar Police commissionerate arrested two associated with a terror and extortion module linked to Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative Jeevan Fauji on June 01.Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said, "... On 17 May, two unknown shooters fired at a furniture shop, injuring one employee at the shop. Police parties and a Special Team were working to solve the crime... Two shooters have been arrested- Karajpreet Singh and Gurlal Singh alias Harman, both residents of Tarn Taran. These two are associates of Jeevan Fauji, an organised crime gangster associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror group. The owner of the furniture shop, Manveer Singh's brother, is based in Canada, and Jeevan Fauji was demanding for an extortion amount from him in Canadian Dollars. When he couldn't succeed, he got shots fired at Manveer Singh's shop to pressurise him into giving the amount. 0.30 bore sophisticated pistol has been recovered from them, which was given to them by Jeevan Fauji. When the police team arrived at the scene for recovery, the accused fired at the police, and our ASI fortunately dodged the bullet. The bullet hit the second accused, Harman, in his leg... The two executed this crime for a very small amount of money... We are working on the other linkages..."
