As Aaron and John are about to begin their vows, the ceremony is interrupted as Robert walks in. Aaron and the wedding guests look on stunned as Robert declares he's arrived to stop Aaron making the biggest mistake of his life. Aaron walks over and thumps him. Aaron's family force Robert to leave. Aaron finds Robert at the footbridge. Robert reveals he saw the news of his wedding posted on his family's social media and tells Aaron that he never stopped loving him. Robert informs Aaron that he had his sentence reduced after appealing the decision based on Luke's fight with Lee on the day of his death being a contributing factor in his death. He reveals he is on probation and is supposed to be at his first meeting now but he had to come back when he found out about the wedding. Aaron tells him he's moved on. Aaron confronts Robert about cutting him off when he went to prison. Robert admits he now regrets that decision. Chas finds them both on the footbridge, having just witnessed their kiss. She gets Robert to leave. John and Victoria find Robert at Jack's grave. Robert accuses John of stealing his life and warns him he should be worried. Aaron and Chas find John and Victoria just in time for John to tackle Robert to the ground during an argument. Aaron rushes in to separate them. Aaron tries to stop Robert from telling John about their kiss. Robert stops himself from revealing his kiss with Aaron to John. John asks Aaron to make a choice between him and Robert.
Aaron chooses John and heads back to the wedding.
