Mercedes tells Warren that she wouldn't have left with him even if she had received his letter. Mercedes fills Warren in on everything that's happened to her since he's been gone. Warren tries to get Mercedes to agree to fly out to Ecuador with him but she refuses to and tells him that she's with Freddie. As tensions rise, they end up sharing a kiss, which Freddie witnesses. Warren spots Sebastian and Sophie in the village but is caught by the police before he gets a chance to see them. Freddie watches on as Warren's handcuffed. Warren confronts Freddie with a gun at the garage, having managed to get himself out using his friends in high places. Warren makes Freddie write a goodbye letter to Mercedes, which she later receives and gets emotional upon reading. Meeting Warren on the City Wall, Donny tells him that he helped him out as a thank you for freeing Misbah from Blue's clutches last year. Knowing he can't stick around, Warren makes a swift exit. At the same time, Freddie leaves the village with a packed bag.
