Raipur (Chhattisgarh), June 7, 2025 (ANI): Speaking about the incident at Mahadev Ghat where several boys allegedly attacked a group of girls, SSP Lal Umed Singh, said “On the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, around 1 a.m., near the ghat, some girls were celebrating their birthday. They were dancing and playing songs on a loudspeaker. When those nearby heard the noise, they objected. Some boys in the vicinity came on the spot and tried to make them stop. This resulted in a dispute, leading both sides to engage in physical altercations. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police gathered details and documented the report based on accounts provided by the female complainants. A crime has been registered against the boys involved. Some boys have been arrested, while others' addresses are currently being investigated."
