Part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the vessel departed from Sicily to challenge Israel’s blockade on Gaza. The Israeli Navy is expected to intercept the UK-flagged ship if it enters Israeli waters, a move rights groups say would violate international law. Britain has so far refused Israeli requests to block the ship’s entry into contested waters.
