Trump says 'doing well' with China, will see on export controls
US President Donald Trump said on Monday, June 9, that his administration was doing well and that he was getting good reports as US officials hold trade talks with China in London.
Asked about lifting export controls, Trump told reporters at the White House: "We're going to see."
Trump and China's leader Xi Jinping spoke by telephone on Thursday, June 5, before US and Chinese officials met in London on Monday to calm trade tensions between the two nations.
A trade deal between the United States and China could support the global economic outlook and in turn boost demand for commodities including oil.
