This country's new Police Commissioner has received his instrument of appointment.
However, the Police Service Commission says Allister Guevarro's appointment as the new top cop takes effect on Wednesday, June 18th.
But Mr Guevarro gave his first remarks after his appointment during an inaugural ceremony this afternoon marking the handover of duties from the outgoing top cop to the new Police Commissioner.
He says wants the Police Service to be role models.
