Cardiff City have appointed Brian Barry-Murphy as their new head coach on a three-year contract, marking a fresh chapter for the club following their relegation to League One.
Barry-Murphy, aged 46, arrives from Leicester City, where he worked under Ruud van Nistelrooy since December 2024. Prior to that, he managed Rochdale from 2019 to 2021 and spent three years overseeing Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad, nurturing talents like Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia.
