Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh) – A shocking incident from Deoria Prasiddha Nagar village under Hariyawan police station limits, where a man bit off his wife's nose after seeing her talking to her alleged lover on the phone. The brutal attack occurred on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, Ramkhilavan, son of Rampal, saw his wife Pooja speaking to a young man from the same village. An argument broke out, which quickly escalated into violence. In a fit of rage, Ramkhilavan bit off Pooja’s nose with his teeth.
Despite her injuries, Pooja managed to inform the police. She was rushed to a community health centre and later referred to the district hospital. Due to the severity of her condition, doctors further referred her to Lucknow Medical College. Her severed nose was sent along in a plastic bag for possible reattachment via plastic surgery.
Police have arrested the accused and registered a case under serious sections. The incident has created panic in the village, and police say a thorough investigation is underway.
