Banswara, Rajasthan – In a chilling incident, 36-year-old government school teacher Leela Tabiyar was brutally murdered in broad daylight by her former lover at the Kalinjara bus stand on Tuesday morning.
The accused, Mahipal Bhagora, arrived in an Alto car and attacked Leela with a sword, stabbing her in the abdomen without any altercation. He then tried to flee but crashed his car into a tree and escaped on foot.
Police rushed to the scene and shifted the victim to the district hospital, where she was declared dead. CCTV footage captured the entire crime. A manhunt has been launched, with checkpoints set up across the district.
Police suspect more than one attacker may have been involved. Investigation is underway.
