Liverpool fans sang in tribute to the club's forward Diogo Jota as they gathered outside Anfield stadium on Thursday (July 3) to pay their respects.
They sang Jota’s chant and the Liverpool anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' and applauded.
Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, were killed in a single-car accident near Zamora, Spain, police said Thursday.
Jota recorded 65 goals and 26 assists in 182 appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020.
Multiple reports said the siblings were found dead after their Lamborghini went off the road on an isolated stretch of highway. Police said the car was in flames upon arrival.
