Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), July 04, 2025 (ANI): As the Ganga and Yamuna rivers surge in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, the authorities are gearing up for an emergency response.Talking to ANI on this, the Prayagraj District Magistrate Ravindra Mandar said, "A detailed review has been done. 88 flood chowkis have been built, and 47 Villages have been identified as sensitive. Traditionally, we have deployed our teams where there are inundated areas. We have also deployed teams from NDRF and SDRF, and detailed training has been conducted; mock drills have been completed for all our revenue and other stakeholder departments. We are fully prepared so that there will be no loss of lives. Also, the refugee shelters that will be activated. Directions were given to all SDMs... We are cautious that there should be no disturbance during the flood."
