Bhubaneswar (Odisha), July 04, 2025 (ANI): After BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan surrendered himself in the case of assault on Additional Commissioner of BMC Ratnakar Sahoo, BJD MLA Arun Kumar Sahoo on July 04 called it BJP’s new trend. “The conspirator and main culprit was arrested by yesterday night. But, one thing the state has witnessed that the they have set a new trend…He went to his party office day before yesterday and discussed with the party president and issued a statement that I am going to my home…Yesterday evening, he came to DCP office and surrendered himself to police and so many few supporters he had brought with him…This is a new trend in the society he has set…Police was silent and not doing anything. It means, in future, the culprits will demand police should not come to arrest me rather I should go to police making a drama that I will surrender myself as if I have done a heroic work…With the pressure of public, police association, government had bent down and persuaded him that we are at very problem and facing difficulties, so that pls surrendered and save us…We condemned it…,” said Arun Kumar Sahoo.
