Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has cast doubt on Umno’s ability to retain the 26 parliamentary seats it won in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Speaking to reporters after officiating the Bersatu Pagoh Division Conference on Sunday (July 6), Muhyiddin was responding to Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan’s claim that PN-led state governments in Perlis, Kedah, and Terengganu were unstable, creating an opportunity for Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan to reclaim them in the next state elections.
Responding to Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s recent statement that the party intended to contest all seats currently held by Bersatu and PAS, Muhyiddin said he has no objection.
