A surprising scene caught on social media this week shows two capybaras – also known as carpinchos – trying to walk across the frozen surface of a lagoon in the Esteros del Iberá, Corrientes province, in northern Argentina.
Despite the scare, the animals were able to move slowly and did not suffer any injuries, according to local biologists.
