Footage shared on Chinese social media shows the Hongqi-29 (HQ-29) — China’s newest and most advanced missile defense system — being transported along highways.
The system was spotted in transit, suggesting testing or potential deployment.
According to the Telegram channel @china3army, the HQ-29 marks a major strategic advancement for China. It is the country’s first mobile platform capable of intercepting intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBMs), and even hypersonic missiles during the mid-course phase of flight.
