At Puy du Fou, a historical theme park in western France, six remarkable rooksβa highly intelligent type of crowβhave been trained to help keep the park clean in an extraordinary way. Under the guidance of falconer Christophe Gaborit, these clever birds pick up cigarette butts and small pieces of trash from the ground. Every time a rook drops litter into a special box, it gets a food reward, reinforcing the helpful behavior. Working four days a week under supervision, the birds aren't just about keeping the park spotless (which is already quite clean). The real goal is to inspire visitors to care more about the environment. By showing that even birds can do their part, the park hopes to remind us all that we share responsibility for keeping our world clean and beautiful.
