Purnea (Bihar), July 8, 2025 (ANI): In a shocking incident in Titgaon village, Purnea (Bihar), five members of a family were allegedly beaten and burnt alive on the night of 6th July in the name of witchcraft or black magic. Purnea DM Anshul Kumar said “So far, three people have been arrested, including a minor, while 23 have been named as accused, and an FIR has been registered against 150–200 unidentified individuals. “ He said “This incident happened on 6th July. In the night, 5 people were beaten up and they were burned alive. Yesterday, the police and administration recovered all the bodies. The post-mortem of the bodies has been done, and the last rites have been performed. A case has been registered against around 23 accused. An FIR has been registered against 150-200 unidentified people. The police have caught the main accused...In regard to this case, 3 people have been caught, of whom one is a minor..."
