Mumbai, July 11 2025 (ANI): The Maharashtra Assembly passed Special Public Security Bill on July 11. Talking to ANI on the same, Thackeray said, "What the Chief Minister has said, that this is a public safety bill, is it truly a public safety bill? Does it ensure the safety of the public, or is it a BJP safety bill? They should also explain... what successes have we achieved so far in fighting Naxalites, and under which bill were those achieved? Is anyone stopping them? What successes have we achieved so far in fighting terrorists, and under which bill were those achieved? Is anyone stopping them... what kind of safety are you talking about?"
