Surah Al-Waqi’ah is the 56th chapter of the Qur’an, consisting of 96 verses. The word “Waqi’ah” means “The Event” or “The Inevitable”, referring to the Day of Judgment. This surah is Makki, revealed in Mecca before the Prophet’s migration to Madinah.
