The government has launched the National Border Security Index (IKSN) to annually assess the effectiveness of agencies guarding Malaysia’s borders.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said on Wednesday (July 16) that the index will use data from 31 enforcement agencies to generate a security performance score, and a cloud-based system will allow agencies to upload data based on 58 fixed indicators covering immigration, maritime security, customs, and anti-smuggling efforts.
