More inclusive legislation for the e-commerce sector is expected to be tabled in Parliament next year, says Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of a town hall session with e-commerce industry players on Thursday (July 17), Armizan said the government is considering amendments to the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 (Act 658).
He noted that a review of the Act is necessary to strengthen consumer protection and improve transparency within the sector.
