The government is considering a mechanism that would require e-commerce platforms to consult authorities before introducing new charges on sellers, says Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
Speaking on Thursday (July 17) in response to a recent platform imposing a fee on all completed orders, Armizan said current laws do not grant his ministry regulatory authority over such decisions, and noted that this regulatory gap needs to be addressed.
