Debut album one of the best American blues -rock groups of the time in which both played two great harp - Rod Piazza and George "Harmonica" Smith. The album was recorded in one day in Hollywood "Eldorado Recordings Studio" and reflected the primary , the concert repertoire . Rod Piazza ( b. 1947 ) became interested in the blues , listening to the records of his older brother , and after some testing with the guitar took to master the harmonica . In 1967, he recorded the first album with his own band "The Dirty Blues Band". After getting acquainted with George Smith group was reformed and renamed. Somewhere in the first half of 1969 , it caught the eye of Mike Vernon, the former once a business trip across the United States . Their live show has made a strong impression on him , and he signed a contract with them to release albums. However, due to commercial considerations, the name of the group had to change to a shorter and memorable - "Bacon Fat".
