Trump Media and Technology Group announced on Monday that it now holds approximately $2 billion in bitcoin and related assets, according to CNBC. The move makes cryptocurrency nearly two-thirds of its liquid portfolio, and cryptocurrency now accounts for the majority of Trump’s wealth, according to a June Forbes analysis. Trump has vowed to make the U.S. the global leader in cryptocurrency. He signed an executive order to establish a Bitcoin reserve, appointed a cryptocurrency czar, and advocated for cryptocurrency legislation. Trump Media shares rose as much as 9% Monday. Trump’s stake in Trump Media, which trades on the Nasdaq as DJT, is valued at nearly $2.3 billion.
