Amazon confirmed plans to acquire Bee AI, as part of its broader push into generative artificial intelligence, according to CNBC. The San Francisco-based company offers a $49.99 wristband that resembles a Fitbit smartwatch. The device uses AI and microphones to analyze conversations and generate summaries, to-do lists, and reminders. Bee CEO Maria de Lourdes Zollo announced on LinkedIn that the company will join Amazon. She described the acquisition as a step toward realizing Bee’s vision of deeply personal, learning-driven AI. Amazon spokesperson Alexandra Miller confirmed the planned acquisition of Bee but did not disclose the deal's terms. Amazon has expanded its AI portfolio with Nova models and is exploring generative AI in Ring devices, as well as returning to wearables after discontinuing its Halo product in 2023.
