More than 11,000 US products imported into Malaysia will face zero or reduced tariffs starting Aug 8, announced Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday (Aug 1), Zafrul said the concessions were part of prolonged tariff negotiations with the US that began in April and concluded on Monday.
Zafrul described the move as a win-win outcome that reflects the strong Malaysia-US relationship spanning 68 years.
