Chargers eliminate Angels to secure PVL quarterfinals berth
The light is on for the Akari Chargers who fended off the 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) champion Petro Gazz in straight sets, 32-30, 25-22, 25-19, in the 2025 PVL On Tour at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Aug. 5, 2025. The Chargers will face the No.1 seed in Pool A Cignal in the knockout quarterfinals. Ivy Lacsina led the scoring for Akari with 16 points on 12 attacks, three blocks, and an ace.
