Trump launches Olympic Task Force for LA 2028, threatens to 'federalize' DC
US President Donald Trump signs an executive order establishing an Olympic Task Force to ensure the safety of the 2028 Games in Los Angeles. When asked by reporters whether Vice President JD Vance is the heir apparent to MAGA, Trump says, "most likely". "It's too early, obviously, to talk about it. But certainly he's doing a great job, and he would be probably favored at this point," he adds. Trump also comments on an attack on a DOGE employee in Washington, DC, warning he might have to "federalize and run" the US capital.
