Royal gramma (Gramma loreto)
One of the more commonly encountered purple tropical fish in aquariums which features vibrant purple and yellow hues, also known as the fairy basslet, species of fish in the family Grammatidae, native to reef environments of the tropical western Atlantic Ocean, including the Caribbean Sea.
There are numerous purple fish species in tropical waters, royal gramma (Gramma loreto) typically grows to about 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) in length. On the other hand, the purple tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum) another species with purple coloring, can grow to around 10 inches (25 centimeters) or more in length.
Additionally, factors such as the size of the aquarium and the conditions in which the fish are kept can also influence their growth potential.
