The National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO) drew RM3.29bil in approved investments in the first half of the year, potentially creating 6,920 jobs, said Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo.
Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Aug 11), he said NAIO would host the Asean AI Summit 2025 in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and Wednesday, themed “Leading Sustainable and Inclusive AI Development in Asean.”
Gobind added that an AI impact study on the public sector, involving 28 ministries, is nearing completion to boost operational efficiency.
