My first impressions of Sri Lanka—airport arrival, immigration, SIM setup, and the tuk-tuk ride into Colombo Using Pickme App ....
I took a morning flight from Malé to Colombo via SriLankan Airlines (Flight UL103). The landing was smooth despite cloudy skies, and we arrived safely at Bandaranaike International Airport.
After a long Maldives tour and little sleep, I was tired but excited. Sri Lankan immigration was quick—they only asked how many days I’d stay. After collecting my luggage, I exchanged money and bought a Dialog SIM card.
I had already installed PickMe and Uber on my phone. I booked a tuk-tuk via PickMe and began the 35 km journey to my hotel. All I wanted was to check in and get some good sleep.
