Supreme Court : కుక్కకాటుతో ప్రాణాంతకమైన రేబిస్ వ్యాధి సోకడానికి దారితీసే ప్రమాదం పెరుగుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో సుప్రీంకోర్టు తీవ్రంగా స్పందించింది. వీధికుక్కలు ఒక్కటి కూడా వీధుల్లో కనిపించకుండా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని అధికారులను సుప్రీంకోర్టు ఆదేశించింది. కోర్టు ఆదేశాలపై జంతు సంక్షేమ సంఘాలు తీవ్ర ఆందోళన వ్యక్తంచేస్తున్నాయి. కోర్టు విధించిన గడువు వాస్తవదూరంగా ఉందని జంతుప్రేమికులు చెబుతున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం భారత్‌లోని చాలా నగరాల్లోనున్న షెల్టర్లు, ఇప్పుడీ వీధికుక్కలకు ఆశ్రయం కల్పించడానికి అవసరమైన సామర్థ్యంలో ఒక శాతం కూడా లేవని వారు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. దిల్లీ, ఎన్‌సీఆర్‌ ప్రాంతం నుంచి వీధి కుక్కలన్నింటినీ తొలగించాలంటూ సుప్రీంకోర్టు వెలువరించిన తీర్పుపై అభ్యంతరాలు వ్యక్తమవుతున్నాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో తీర్పు ఉత్తర్వులను తాను పరిశీలిస్తానని సీజేఐ జస్టిస్‌ బీఆర్‌ గవాయ్‌ పేర్కొన్నారు. సుప్రీం తీర్పుపై జంతు హక్కుల సంస్థలు ఆక్షేపణ తెలిపాయి. కేంద్ర మాజీమంత్రి, జంతు హక్కుల కార్యకర్త మేనకా గాంధీ అభ్యంతరం తెలిపారు. తీర్పు ఆచరణ సాధ్యం కాదన్నారు. కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకురాలు ప్రియాంకాగాంధీ, ప్రముఖ సినీనటులు జాన్‌ అబ్రహాం, జాన్వీ కపూర్, సదా, వరుణ్‌ ధావన్, సిద్ధార్థ్‌ ఆనంద్, అడివి శేష్‌ తదితరులు వీధి కుక్కల సంరక్షణపై స్పందించారు.రేబిస్ సోకకుండా ఏంచేయాలంటే?
