Netflix shares rose Thursday on substantial international gains, sports expansion, and major content launches, according to Benzinga. The company now holds nearly half of South Korea’s $1.1 billion premium streaming market, with 8.2 million subscribers, boosted by a Naver Plus partnership. The streaming giant's dominance is driven by hits like Squid Game 3, new theatrical releases, and a Naver Plus partnership offering free access to its ad-supported tier. Netflix also raised Australian prices, making it one of the country’s most expensive streaming services. It posted U.K. revenue growth of 11% to $2.48 billion and secured FIFA Women’s World Cup rights in Canada. Second-quarter revenue grew 16% to $11.08 billion, with earnings of $7.19 per share, both above estimates. Shares are up over 39% year-to-date and gained 3.10% on Thursday.
