Pune – A shocking accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Bhosari flyover, where heavy iron pieces fell onto a motorcyclist after a tempo collided with the flyover wall.
The injured has been identified as Ritesh Ghogare (21), a resident of Bhosari, who was on his way to Chakan for work. CCTV footage shows the iron tumbling down, striking him and leaving him unconscious on the spot. Locals rushed him to hospital, where he remains in the ICU.
Preliminary police probe suggests the tempo, possibly overloaded, failed to climb an incline and rolled back, hitting the flyover wall and dislodging the iron.
The incident triggered panic in the area as police and emergency teams arrived to secure the spot. An investigation is ongoing.
