Home-building body says slowdown in construction code releases is better than government’s proposed freeze

One of the so-called "low hanging fruits" at this week's economic roundtable is the red tape associated with building new homes. As the housing minister put it, it can take longer to approve a home than to build one and leaked Treasury advice has revealed a freeze on the National Construction Code could be on the cards.
