A total of 148 trainees from the National Service Training Programme 3.0 (PLKN 3.0) have registered with the Territorial Army (Askar Wataniah), the Dewan Rakyat was told.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin said another 40 trainees had joined the Perajurit Muda (cadet) training programme.
He defended PLKN 3.0 as a strategic initiative to instil discipline and patriotism among youths.
