Ashley Perdomo, from Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, USA filmed the moment her husband released the new rooster from a crate into their yard, where a group of hens were waiting.
The clip shows the rooster instantly springing into action, chasing one hen after another, clearly eager to establish his place among them.
Posted on TikTok, the video gathered a staggering 9.7 million views, with many viewers amused at the rooster’s overly eager reaction.
One commentor joked: ‘He ruined girl’s night.’
Another joked: ‘New guy clocked in and immediately violated HR policy.’
