FREEDIVING WITH FRIENDLY SEALS
WITH VID
BY Mikey Jones
This is the moment a friendly seal jumps on a freediver.
The needy seal can be trying to get a whisker of attention in this adorable video.
The moment was filmed by Polly Frier, 30, from Cornwall, UK, who filmed the footage around Lundy Island in Devon, UK.
Polly said: "I was on a trip with Lundy Diving, who take you over to the island to explore and swim with seals.
"You never know if the seals are going to approach you or not, but generally, seals are very inquisitive animals.
"I am an animal behaviourist myself and love watching them playing around in the water.
"This seal is a young female who was very inquisitive, kept chewing at my fins, and swimming around me.
"I surfaced from free diving and adjusted my snorkel, and because I was no longer giving her the attention, she jumped on me!
"I found it very funny!
"A few people would probably be scared of this, but I actually spent 4 years working with seals and can read their behaviours quite well."
