Flash floods hit Metro Manila due to heavy rains

Flash floods hit Metro Manila on Aug. 22, 2025, stranding hundreds of commuters, causing heavy traffic and forcing the suspension of afternoon classes. Some of the affected areas were at the United Nations Station on Taft Avenue, Roxas Boulevard and Kalaw Street near Rizal Park, all in Manila.
