FBI agents raided the Maryland home of Trump’s former national security adviser, John Bolton, on Friday in a classified documents probe, The New York Post reported. Federal agents executed the raid in Bethesda at 7 a.m. under orders from FBI Director Kash Patel. Bolton’s account on X posted criticism of Trump’s Ukraine policy as the search unfolded, though it was unclear if it was scheduled. The investigation reportedly began during Trump’s first term but was later shut down by the Biden administration “for political reasons,” according to a senior official. Bolton previously faced scrutiny for allegedly including classified material in his 2020 memoir, “The Room Where It Happened.” The Justice Department opened an inquiry into the book in 2020, and the former adviser has since remained a vocal Trump critic on national security.
