Speaking after opening the Selangor MCA Convention on Sunday (Aug 24), Dr Wee stressed that Malaysians must be given priority in admissions, as the number of international students at public universities continues to grow.
Dr Wee expressed concern that the rising intake of foreign students coincides with increasing tuition costs are burdening Malaysian families, and called for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to review and reform admission policies at public universities.
